A Liberty print tana lawn beach dress for long, carefree days on the beach.
A quick trip to Liberty department store a few days before my honeymoon made me come to the conclusion that I absolutely needed a printed cotton dress / bathing suit cover for the beach. I kept the pattern simple so it was quick to make. (Thankfully I caught the plane.)
The print is originally from Spring/Summer 2005.

Easy summer sewing for easy days.
This dress is stunning. I love the print. I'm trying my hardest right now not to buy some online. :)ReplyDelete
Thanks so much! I love Liberty fabric too because it's so easy to sew. Good luck with your dilemma!Delete
Oh this does nothing for my efforts at avoiding spending the money on Liberty either! Such a lovely dress...did you use a pattern? ...because if I can't have Liberty I might at least be able to find a cute cotton print and make a version of my own. I can't sew as well as you, but for something this pretty I'd give it a whirl.ReplyDelete
Hello and thank you for the comment! I drafted my own pattern for this one. I love simple summer patterns because they let nice prints speak for themselves -- I'm sure which ever cotton print and pattern you decide on for your creation, it will be lovely - go for it! :)ReplyDelete
I like your dress formReplyDelete
Can you tell me where you bought it from and what brand it is
Hi Sydney, it's a Diana Dressmakers Dummy. They are widely available through different suppliers.ReplyDelete
