scrapbuster necklaces

Happy Sunday sewers!
Just a quick post on a super satisfying way to use up leftover pieces of silk or lightweight fabric....
wow did it feel good to use these up.
You've probably seen these before...I didn't realise just how easy it is to make your own!
 Initially I didn't have the required wooden beads so I sacrificed an old necklace and it worked really well.
These are off to Canada and New Zealand as gifts.

  2. There's also a tutorial out there on using old mens silk ties (check Pinterest) which is great because I have a lot of thrifted ones that I use to make eyeglass cases.
